Installation Guidelines:

Decking Coverage: 138mm board width plus the chosen clip gap. Calculate quantities from your deck dimensions and allow for cuts and waste.
Batten Spacing: Install battens at 250- 350 mm intervals
Fixings: 1 starter clip per batten (bottom row); a centre fixing clip at every supporting joist
Minimum Batten Thickness: 30mm
Important Tip: Pre-drill holes slightly larger than screw threads (by at least 2mm) to allow for expansion. If less than 2mm, use washers for a secure fit.

For best results, we recommend ordering a sample before purchasing to ensure the colour and finish meet your expectations.

Decking fixings - choose your clips and screws

Use starter clips for the first board and compatible centre fixing clips between grooved boards. Choose the clip type that matches your board groove and required side spacing, and use it consistently across the deck.

Plastic decking centre fixing clips and stainless steel screws - 100 sets: approximately 3-4mm between adjacent board sides. Each pack includes 100 clips and 100 screws.
Black stainless steel decking centre clips and screws - 100 sets: approximately 2-3mm between adjacent board sides. Each pack includes 100 clips and 100 stainless steel screws.
Starter clips and screws: available in 100 sets. Always start the deck with one starter clip at each joist supporting the first board.

Fit a centre fixing clip at every joist along each compatible board groove. At board-end joins, provide double joists with a separate support and fixing for each end. Side gaps created by clips do not replace the expansion gaps required at board ends, walls and other fixed objects.

Movement-control option: the Uni-Move locking clip - 7mm, pack of 50 is a separate fixing system. Ask us to confirm compatibility with your board and chosen centre clips before combining it with a 2-3mm or 3-4mm clip layout.

Islands and other destinations

Isle of Wight (PO30–PO41): £250 up to and including £5,000; free over £5,000. Northern Ireland: £499 below £1,500; free from £1,500. Isles of Scilly (TR21–TR25), KA27–KA28 and other offshore destinations are excluded from the new mainland bands; please contact us before ordering. The applicable charge is shown before payment.

Delivery times

We aim to deliver in-stock mainland orders in 1–3 working days, allowing up to five working days, subject to availability and delivery access. We will contact you to arrange delivery. Any different lead time will be confirmed before ordering.

Pre-orders are delivered after the stated warehouse arrival date, which is an estimate and may change. A preferred delivery day is a request for our team to confirm, not a guaranteed booking.

Sample delivery

All samples are sent free by Royal Mail Tracked 24, separately from full-size materials. Delivery is typically 24–48 hours after collection, rather than a guaranteed arrival time. Tracking details are emailed once collected.

Order before 3pm Monday–Thursday for that day’s sample collection. Orders placed later are prepared for the next available collection.

Eligible small fixings also receive free Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery. For mixed baskets containing boards or larger materials, the applicable project delivery charge remains payable; samples and eligible fixings do not add an extra delivery charge.

Mixed orders and product lead times

We aim to deliver mixed orders together. Items may be packed separately, and a product with a longer stated lead time may affect your delivery date. Check each product page for availability.

Container or manufacturer-direct orders may have separate lead times and delivery fees. Please contact our team before ordering.

Access and unloading

Please tell us about narrow lanes, restricted access or other site constraints when ordering. This helps us plan your delivery.

Large or heavy orders may arrive on a pallet; pallet deliveries are usually kerbside. We will contact you if assistance is needed for unloading.
