At Majestic Materials, we’re happy to help customers estimate the materials required for their project. Whether you’re purchasing composite decking, cladding, fencing, trims, subframe materials or accessories, our team can provide a quotation based on the measurements and project information supplied to us.

How Our Quotation Service Works

To prepare a quotation, we may ask you to provide measurements, drawings, plans, photographs or other information relating to your project.

Using the information provided, our team will calculate an estimated quantity of materials and prepare a quotation based on what we believe will be required to complete the project.

We always aim to make our calculations as accurate and helpful as possible. However, every installation is different, and there can be factors that cannot be determined from measurements, drawings or photographs alone.

Important: Quantities Are Estimates

Any quantities calculated or recommended by Majestic Materials should be treated as an estimate only.

It remains the responsibility of the customer and/or their installer to check and confirm all measurements and material quantities before placing an order.

Majestic Materials cannot accept responsibility for shortages, excess materials, additional delivery charges, installation delays or other costs resulting from incorrect measurements, inaccurate information supplied to us, differences in installation methods, cutting requirements, wastage or the quantity of materials ultimately required on site.

Where possible, we recommend that your installer reviews the quotation and confirms the quantities before the order is placed.

Measurements Supplied by Customers

Our quotations are prepared using the information available to us at the time.

Where measurements, drawings, plans or photographs have been supplied by the customer, architect, builder, installer or another third party, we will assume that this information is accurate.

Majestic Materials is not responsible for errors arising from incorrect, incomplete or subsequently changed measurements or project specifications.

If the dimensions or design of your project change after a quotation has been prepared, please contact us so that we can provide an updated estimate.

Wastage & Cutting

The amount of wastage required can vary considerably depending on the layout of the project, board direction, joins, cuts, corners, openings, steps and the installation method used.

Where a wastage allowance is included within our quotation, this will be an estimated allowance only and does not guarantee that the quoted quantity will be sufficient for every installation.

Your installer should determine the appropriate wastage allowance for your individual project before ordering.

Installation Responsibility

Our quotation service is intended to assist with purchasing materials and does not replace a professional site survey or installer assessment.

Unless Majestic Materials has separately agreed in writing to undertake installation or a professional site survey, responsibility for confirming the suitability and quantity of materials remains with the customer and their chosen installer.

We strongly recommend having your installer check:

  • All project measurements
  • Board orientation and proposed layout
  • Required board lengths and cutting plan
  • Subframe and joist requirements
  • Trims, fixings and accessories
  • Appropriate wastage allowance
  • The final quantities required before ordering

Ordering Additional Materials

If additional materials are required after your original order, we will be happy to supply these subject to availability.

Additional materials and any associated delivery charges will be chargeable separately.

Please also be aware that products purchased at different times may occasionally have minor variations between manufacturing batches. For this reason, we recommend ordering the full anticipated quantity for your project together wherever possible.

By Proceeding With Your Order

By placing an order based on a quotation provided by Majestic Materials, you acknowledge that the quantities provided are estimates based on the information supplied to us and that final responsibility for checking measurements and confirming the quantities required rests with the customer and/or their installer.

Our team is always happy to assist with calculations and product recommendations, but we recommend confirming all quantities before payment and installation.
