Decking Starter & Slatted Cladding Bottom Clips – 100 Sets
Stainless steel 8mm clips with matching stainless steel screws, supplied as 100 clips and 100 screws. Use as starter clips for compatible Majestic decking, or as bottom clips for Majestic vertical slatted cladding.
How many packs do I need?
- In this pack: 100 clips and 100 matching screws.
- Vertical slatted cladding: enough bottom clips for 50 full boards, allowing two per board.
- Pack quantity: divide your board count by 50 and round up. Allow extra for cut pieces and your installation layout.
- Installation clips are separate: allow five per 2.5m slatted board or seven per 3.6m board.
Planning decking or horizontal cladding? Clip quantities depend on the supporting joists or battens; the vertical-board calculation above does not apply.
Vertical slatted cladding: two bottom clips per board
Fit the board first, then secure its groove-side installation clips. Fit two bottom clips per board after the board and installation clips, with the board bottom flush with the bottom batten. Tuck each clip into the bottom of a hollow flute and screw it into the batten using its supplied stainless steel screw. Finish both bottom clips before moving on to the next board.
Allow approximately five groove-side installation clips per 2.5m board or seven per 3.6m board, plus the two bottom clips. Fit an installation clip at every supporting batten and allow extra for cut pieces, joins and openings.
Composite decking: starter clips go first
Fit starter clips before positioning the first decking board, following the installation guide for your decking range. These secure the starting edge; use the appropriate centre fixing clips between subsequent boards.
Horizontal slatted cladding
Use one starter clip per supporting batten along the bottom row. The two-bottom-clips-per-board sequence above applies to vertical slatted cladding.

Islands and other destinations
Isle of Wight (PO30–PO41): £250 up to and including £5,000; free over £5,000. Northern Ireland: £499 below £1,500; free from £1,500. Isles of Scilly (TR21–TR25), KA27–KA28 and other offshore destinations are excluded from the new mainland bands; please contact us before ordering. The applicable charge is shown before payment.
Delivery times
We aim to deliver in-stock mainland orders in 1–3 working days, allowing up to five working days, subject to availability and delivery access. We will contact you to arrange delivery. Any different lead time will be confirmed before ordering.
Pre-orders are delivered after the stated warehouse arrival date, which is an estimate and may change. A preferred delivery day is a request for our team to confirm, not a guaranteed booking.
Sample delivery
All samples are sent free by Royal Mail Tracked 24, separately from full-size materials. Delivery is typically 24–48 hours after collection, rather than a guaranteed arrival time. Tracking details are emailed once collected.
Order before 3pm Monday–Thursday for that day’s sample collection. Orders placed later are prepared for the next available collection.
Eligible small fixings also receive free Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery. For mixed baskets containing boards or larger materials, the applicable project delivery charge remains payable; samples and eligible fixings do not add an extra delivery charge.
Mixed orders and product lead times
We aim to deliver mixed orders together. Items may be packed separately, and a product with a longer stated lead time may affect your delivery date. Check each product page for availability.
Container or manufacturer-direct orders may have separate lead times and delivery fees. Please contact our team before ordering.
Access and unloading
Please tell us about narrow lanes, restricted access or other site constraints when ordering. This helps us plan your delivery.
Large or heavy orders may arrive on a pallet; pallet deliveries are usually kerbside. We will contact you if assistance is needed for unloading.
